1. To have already created an eBay Account.
2. A Valid credit/debit card and bank account information.
Sign in to your eBay account and go to my eBay. Click on 'Start Selling'. Follow the link to 'Set up a seller's account'.
You will be asked to provide debit card or credit cards details and bank account information to complete the process.
You will then be asked to specify how you would like to pay the fees you incur from selling on eBay. You can either set up a recurring payment method such as Direct Debit Mandate or credit card on file, alternatively at anytime you can make an ad-hoc one time payment using PayPal.
Step 2 : Set Up PayPal Account
The easiest way to accept payment is via PayPal. If you haven't already then create a PayPal account.
Step 3 : Fill Out the Sell Item Form
Follow the online instructions to place you item online. You will need to:
choose a selling format - as a new seller you will only have the option to place items in auctions. The 'buy it now' feature is only available to sellers with feedback level of at least 10 or direct debit mandate on file;
select a category for your item to be listed in;
write an effective item title and description;
decide on a starting price and an end time for the auction;
add a picture if available.
It will help you sell your item if you have an image of it. There are a range of options for placing you item online for sale. Small fees are levied for features such as featuring a thumbnail of your image in search results. This is one way in which eBay make money from the service they offer.
